2. |The fruits of patience

The fruits of patience.

Many moons ago, I was a small scale farmer. I grew tomatoes, lettuce, cabbage, kale, and carrots at times there’s some thing about growing crops that no one under the sun can change and that is the process. You start by preparing your land. You then plant your seed. You water your seed, then, over few days of watering something miraculous happens while you sleep. You wake up one morning and you see a field of green seedlings.

It doesn’t end there. What you have just done is set the foundation with constant watering, weeding and getting rid of pests in the case of tomatoes, they begin to flower. Each flower eventually becomes a tomato ???? . The more flowers, your tomato plant has, the more tomatoes you will harvest. Alas, you still have to keep the birds away because they feed on tomatoes. However, after all is said and done, you will be harvesting nice fresh red tomatoes.

The exact same principle also applies to Voice Over. You have to prepare your workspace make sure that your recording space is soundproofed then you have to purchase your equipment and you have to make sure that it is all set up and working. After that, you have to get behind the microphone and start recording your demos for potential jobs while you are asleep, those jobs you’ve demoed for will materialize into approved jobs. Alas, you still have to produce the final voice files for your client. Finally, your harvest is not only the paycheck from your client, but also a professionally finished voice file that will live forever.

Like anything else in life that is worth pursuing, there is a process that should be followed. You followed correctly, you will harvest. You cannot rush the process, but be patient. Remember when you put the work in while you are asleep, the other parts of what you have done will materialize. Be patient.
