Your voice is your unique signature, as someone once said in an interview I listened to, picture yourself as a being an ingredient that contributes to making an awesome cake. When the baker walks through the aisle of the shop and gets to you they may not necessarily choose you, but a different baker may be specifically looking for you to make their cake complete. Be the best ingredient on the shelf, in the aisle. The baker who needs you will come along.
Stay in your lane and don’t be derailed by what others in our voice over industry are doing. But learn from them. Make strides where you are and aim to be the best at what you do. When you believe in yourself as much as you should, everyone else will come on board. A nice sounding doubtful voice is far worse than a not so nice sounding confident believable voice. Stay true to yourself and to your voice.
